Cawston is the perfect place to host school or university educational trips covering botany, zoology, wildlife conservation and research, and a whole lot more.
Cawston hosts school and university trips covering botany, zoology, wildlife conservation and research, holistic livestock farming, bee keeping, elephant interaction and awareness, introduction to keeping and riding horses, basic survival skills, basic weapon safety, and land management including soil erosion and invasive plant management.
Ages 10 and up are best suited here. We can accommodate no more than 20 children and teachers together with a max of 4 people per room in our Camp.

Example Trip Age 10-12

Day 1
- Overview of small scale crop farming.
- Game drive and demonstration on setting up trail cameras
- Elephant interaction and awareness
- Evening talk on wildlife conservation
Day 2
- Early morning exercise
- Hand milking a cow and all about bush dairies
- Horses – all about a horse, how to look after them, and a riding experience
- Bush walk with emphasis on soil composition and plant adaptations
- Fire lighting competition using sticks, flint, magnifying glass.
- Mashmallows / Smores!
Day 3
- Holistic Livestock Farming and Land Management
- Bee Keeping
